If rumours of Tomlinson are true he’d take the LB slot leaving FBT as one of the CB roles.
I would love this. Get them in and and one more CB let Macdonald go and defence could look solid. A back 4 of Tomlinson FBT Clayton/Another Laviner sounds good to me

Only fans talk but Hibs reckon McKirdy could be on his way back on loan. It’s the only option for him if he needs games cos he won’t get any there.

The embarrassment and tail between the legs would be very interesting to see.

He's about 6th choice going by their last game.

He has so much confidence I don't think it'd bother him, outwardly at least. Would love to have him back here on loan, just what this team needs.

Austin and McKirdy could be a beautiful duo, or catastrophic combination in the changing room!

I’ve heard that this isn’t true.

I’ve heard that this had a possibility but has broke down.

Both were a week ago though so all could have changed.

Pretty much like the ‘we haven’t even interviewed Artell’ truth - until we did!

The problem is we have show a penchant for being a lot worse - Harries.  Brennan hasn't been that great either.  Hutton looks a prospect to work on but is pretty poor defending.  While I do not think McDonald is a player you choose to build a promotion team around, he at least can defend at L2 level.  The only reason you let him go is if you have a better version ready to come in - experience, good defender, captain material.

I would argue he has had that alongside him recently. FBT has looked captain material to me as Macdonald just does not look happy

FBT is the better of the two based on performances this season, a very sold Rob Hunt of a player.  You still need four centre backs of reasonable standard in your squad in total though.

He can defend though. We moved on a ‘passing defender’ who couldn’t defend in the summer.
I’m not going to turn my nose up at a defender that can defend - even if he can’t pass.

Exactly the type of player we need (well last seasons homeless lesbian version)
Think that interview he did burnt any bridges here - although it would be typical Swindon fanbase to write off certain players after little game time but welcome McKirdy back with open arms.
