£250k is quite the gamble, but as you say KT - high reward.
If we are close to cash neutral with the McKirdy deal I'm not sure what else we could do that's better.

Is that any worse than Town ‘Highballing’ his worth? It’s called negotiation. Anyway if they have approached the town it does put us in the driving seat somewhat. Now if we’ve approached them than that is a different kettle of fish. |

No, of course not if it's just back and forth - though the article implies that a fee was verbally agreed and Hibs have since backtracked, which is a bit poor if so. Not uniquely so, I'm sure. I rather suspect Ryan Whelan's "source close to the deal" is in the Swindon hierarchy mind, so sure there's a Hibs side of the story too. |
