Probably not a realistic target I would guess, suspect a league 1 club will take punt at some point.

He is just what we need though, proven scorer and a big old unit as well

Absolutely, the same goes for Macauley Bonne at Ipswich, Ipswich fans not enamoured by him but he always looked good against us for Charlton, Orient and QPR but also probably out of our price range.

On the flip side this is where the club could quickly change the mood of the fans by stretching the money and showing some intent with a statement signing.

I agree totally, a statement of intent by the club and not going for the loan, free or cheap option would go a long way to gaining fan backing.

The Hobos have a history of wind-up merchants though. Derek Riordan, Scott Brown, Leigh Griffiths etc. I'm in 2 minds whether he would be a success up there. It will be harder for him to pop to Stamford Bridge for a Chelsea game when he is sitting out a suspension for sure.

Are you sure about it being harder to see Chelsea? Edinburgh Airport to any number of easily accessible airports in and around London with excellent transport links too.

And they want a discount due to his discipline issues. Not quite sure it works like that, that’s part of what they would be buying.

Surely with it being so close to the window closing we hold the cards, not them.

Buy him on our terms or fuck off

I am annoyed this wasn't sorted out weeks ago.

"Glass half full" translation...he scored a few goals for FGR in the National league and L2 before going to Scotland.

I would rather we spent the large wages on a better player but I guess hes experienced and beggars cant be choosers. He has never impressed me in the 10 or so times I have seen him play for Hibs, FGR and Bolton. Both his goals he scored against us were 2 yard tap ins.
