What unemployed players

All three were offered contracts if I have read correctly.

Garner was fully aware of the position Swindon was in with all their contracted and end of contract players.

Simply insider trading and taking advantage of an employer who gave a fuckwit a chance after he fucked up at Rovers.

If you think all is fair in love and war. Well, we are on a different page.

It's a little shit for us and annoying garner gets him, but being blunt football is a cut throat results based business and garners just going with players he trusts. Think we all knew when BG got the charlton gig he was gonna take a few with him.

Payne's gonna need replacing/ or we use the new signings and go for an attacker

It leaves a nice bit of £ in the kitty you'd think to sign a big name. Lindsey did say the recent flurry of signings wasn't us spending the 'Jack Payne money'

I have a couple of mates support Charlton and they are never happy with the players they have got it seems, constantly moaning. Good fanbase but my god they can whinge.

Sounds like they are the Swindon of the east!

Would be interesting to know who got Reed and Harry McKirdy to sign longer contracts to their initial one year contracts.

Ultimately Jack Payne wanted to have another crack higher up the leagues and so Charlton was always likely to be his end destination. A little frustrating that it's taken up so much time but glad we can put it behind us. It's a shame as I thought Jack Payne stood out at league 2 level but I completely get his final choice and I hope he does well at Charlton.

You'd like to think we've been able to recruit Khan, Darcy and A N other using the wage we aren't paying Jack Payne so it could work more in our favour going forward.

Weren't they automatic renewals based upon amount of games played, similar to Williams too?

That sounds like a sensible way to get around only being able to offer 1 year deals due to the umbungo, by putting in the automatic extension triggers.

Not knocked down with a wayward, scuffed daisy cutter, no great surprise that Payne has chosen to move up a division.
Good footballer, enjoyed watching him play, so job done. Thanks Jack.

Payne is a good player, but lets face it, if he was that good he wouldnt be signing for Charlton just over a week and a bit before the season starts having had no preseason

Thanks for the efforts last season and staying on last summer etc
