This - More chance Payne signing.
But no chance of that either - you told us that a few days ago if I recall correctly.

I actually thought the Bamba thing was more likely. Doesn't look good for either now. Didn't someone say Paynes contract offer expires today?

We were never getting Bamba, let’s be honest.

Someone posted it on the internet and for some reason we all instantly believed it for some reason?
Bizarre, considering the cynical conspiracy theorists that we are

I think Ryan Walker's words were 'Sol Bamba is seriously considering Swindon's offer' FWIW.

 Cheesy

Just never made sense to me in any aspect.

It felt a bit like when we were linked with that Brentford striker under Power, I forget the name.
Almost as if a name had been leaked to appease the fans.

His age & position to me at least meant on paper he was a player we should have been looking at it.

Just because someone posted it on Twitter - didn’t mean I ever considered it to have any foundation or truth.

The Bamba story was written by Peter O'Rourke who is usually spot on 95% of the time. He doesn't post something unless it has some legs.

So all the comments saying it was never going to happen, well it certainly could've happened, and must've been so far down the line and broken down.

Looks like he's taking a bit of time away from the game full stop.

He could have done that by joining Swindon....
