That question is going to get tedious very quickly.

I've learnt not to assume anything that's why I'm intrigued to know if they meet the criteria considering they are fairly inexperienced

I’m enjoying all this claptrap speculation, point scoring, nit picking and general dick waving over who we should or shouldn’t sign. Who’ll ‘do a job’ for us. So and so is available, he’s only played for (insert some nondescript non league team), been injured for (insert time) and so on. It is tedious but fun.

There will be NO ‘names’ at our bottom feeding level and I do not mean this in a disparaging way towards our beloved club. The incoming will be perceived to be somewhere between Poundland and a car boot sale.

Disregarding the fact that there are some fucking good bargains to be had if you know what you’re looking for in the first place and where to look. In the words of Liam Byrne ‘There’s no money left’. Though in our case there ‘is not to much money to piss up the wall on over priced players’ is more apt.

I look at it this way I’m not interested in ‘names of players’ nor ‘where they come come from’ for that matter. What I want is a player that pulls on the redshirt and is prepared to fucking die for the fans who pay him to wear it. It is up to the management team to make sure I get what I pay for when I go through the turnstile. I feel now that the management are more engaged with the fans than we’ve had for decades and know full well that the expectations of us fans as well as their own run parallel together and that time is not on their side to make mistakes, especially after last seasons over achievement.

How would we know? We've no idea what criteria they're using to identify signings. If it's 'moneyball' as I understand it, it's much more nuanced than a player's stats (x amount of crosses/tackles/whatever per game). So you just have to assume?

It was said that these players had been on our radar for some time, which I found a bit strange seeing as everyone involved in the recruitment process are newly employed.

Just how do you choose one inexperienced youngster over another?

I think they are both worth a punt, it’s when we sign a total muppet that’s when you question your data

You won’t really know that until after the event.

I'm not knocking them just asking if anyone knows if they have any information on their stats to date which Sandro has mentioned once or twice players will be chosen on.

That’s when you go back to source data, learn as you go, let’s face it they will not all come off. It’s a bit different from when you had drinking clubs and gambling clubs
