The risk of having to rely on loans.
Concerned where we are regarding the number of players in the building. Another loan recall or an injury would hit us hard.

arent we at the lowest number of loan signings we have had in years. we used to have loan players left out the matchday squad. we are no way near as reliant as normal

Haven’t we only got O’Brien and Simpson on loan.

think so.

I think the point is we have lost 3 from the squad and so are thin on the ground

There is no way at ll that is what it will be like by the 31st though, if anything we are in a better position. We have a strong starting 11 still so hopefully can only improve the squad

If Simpson gets recalled we are fkd.
No guarantee new young loan players can fit in and hit the ground running with immediate effect.

Credit to the team however at present the squad in weak.

Very true but it's no different to any other season really, we lost both strikers a couple of years ago.

Agree on the Simpson comment. I am sure that the Bens have been looking for another striker. For whatever reason, up until now they haven't managed to bring one in. Hopefully towards the end of the window and before it slams shut, we can do that

Simpson is surely unlikely to be recalled? They talked about it on the LS Pod recently and they have 4 of 5 very good forward options so to recall Simpson would be counterintuitive as he's unlikely to get anywhere near the first team so he's surely better for his career progression to continue to play first team football here.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise,
the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

I think the only way we lose him is if a league 1 team comes in for him

As far as I'm aware any season long loan does have a break clause but needed to be activated by a certain date, something like the 12th which was why KKH & Gilbert were called back. This may have changed but was the rules in previous season I believe.
