Even that would be good business for a player that cost us nowt.

They’ll offer more!

They paid 200k+ for Ben Tozer who is 31, I say we hold out for something similar, with a sign on. (not into Lee Power's pocket)

Could be the ££ needed to fund that elusive striker.

Hunt is decent but when he's against a pacey winger he does seem to really struggle. Unless we have a replacement lined up he shouldn't be going anywhere as I wouldn't trust Iandolo to be anything more than cover as he can't defend and for whatever reason seems to be dead on his feet after about 20 minutes.

Tozer is a hoofball long throw donkey, Hunt is a far better footballer than Tozer, hike the fee until Wrexham are desperate, £250k should do it.

As for funds for a striker, we can't pay a transfer fee for a player and are still limited to around £1,500pw(give or take) wage as thats all part of the Embargo.

Expecting a quiet day today. I reckon we will be busier in January's transfer window.  If Hunt goes I'm sure a replacement will be bought in but other than that not expecting much.

We need at least 1 extra striker no matter what, whether for cover or to add to alongside Simpson, we can't rely on just Simpson until Christmas.

Agreed but I think Garner will only bring in a striker if they're right for the team.  I know it was said a while ago that we had a main target in that position but the deal wasn't straight forward. No idea if we're still targetting that same player though.

I’ll be very very disappointment with only one striker at the club. Can’t expect Simpson to carry us till jan. I’m sure a striker will be in

We need at least one more Striker. Honestly i think a problem we have is a lot of our forward players are quite similar, would really like someone direct with pace on the wing, in addition to a striker, but perhaps thats this Mitchel-Lawson lad.

We need a left sided player as well, and thats before Hunts possible departure.

I hope for at least 2 therefore today.

I would also be amazed if we dont max the loan situation, no point holding those gaps until Jan.

This right for the team thing is just a line, they all say the same thing, Wellens did as well. And we all agree its best to get the one you want and not rush one in (Pitman), but make no mistake they desperately need one. McKirdy as a striker is not going to cut it.

Not just Wrexum interested in Hunt. That should guarantee the fee keeps on rising!

Let battle commence, I like Hunt but hes not been great in about a year, hes solid but I don't think he has fully got over his back injury yet, I would cash in while he has a value as long as we don't have to rely on Iandolo as left back all season.

Transfer deadline day has just reminded me. (and this could probably go into the mildly annoy thread)

As irritating as the 'A, B, C Triallist family' chat in pre-season is the BBC rolling transfer news interspersed with people trying to be funny with that old schtik about 'seen Lionel Messi at Blackburn Train Station/ just stood behind Mbappe at Greggs in Newcastle City Centre etc'

Is Parsons considered an attacking midfielder now then? Always thought he was a striker.

Never gets tired, does it?

It's always just as funny when hearing it the 10 gazillionth time.
