Summed our season up when Bogle scored. Ball over the top that Fryers completely missed, Bogle went round the keeper, fell over yet still managed to score
Absolutely, accidentally hit the target and scored with an absolute fluke, when all his actual efforts on goal went well wide of the target. I told my Charlton mate that we were linked and he just laughed, then laughed some more, then when he stopped laughing he just said "don't".

He completely ignored my 'any Swindon news Al' from Friday. Might try again this week.

Bogle - and his agent - have rejected both offers from L2 clubs. Probably holding out for more money as clubs are desperate for a striker.
What’s Norwood up to?

If Bogle's still contracted to Doncaster then he's probably not in a hurry to leave for less money.
He doesn't float my boat anyway. Would be much happier with Norwood.

Bogle isn't a player that will fit into out style of play though

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s coming here.

Width-wise might be different!

I'd hope he is different width-wise. I doubt he'd be particularly mobile if he's 5" 9' wide.

FWIW Alan Nixon has stated a player we want is likely to go elsewhere. I imagine that's Norwood but who knows what the Ben's have up their sleeve.

What with the current crop of strikers being linked to us (Bogle & Norwood) and the players we have gotten in already versus the numerous names that have been bandied about since Clem got the keys, throw in the sentimental mix of ex players, how does this stack up with those we have actually signed?
In other words using the aforementioned criteria/yardstick have we signed who we thought or have they all been left field acquisitions? If the latter then it is highly likely to be a player/s who come from out of the blue and clubs we didn’t know they played for. The likes of Bogle if he has a years contract will unlikely have that cancelled to join us in a free. Norwood? Not sure if his contractual status but given our pretty tight financial situation I cannot for the life of me see us splashing out money we don’t really have where it is not necessary. I’m thinking an under 23 striker on the cusp of his parent clubs first team.

I think you make a good point. Aside from a 10 year old girl saying we had signed a bald fella with a ginger beard I think the Williams signing was totally out of the blue and our transfer business is being done very much in house with little getting out to the Alan Nixon's and the likes. So whilst we are here speculating about Bogle/Norwood, in reality it's likely to be someone completely different, could be someone playing abroad, in a Prem team's under 23 side that you say. Will be exciting to see who we bring in for sure, the ammunition behind him is certainly there.
