I am going to be controversial. Scott Twine is at his peak now and will not get any better. He looks a much better player already but i don't think he will kick on much more
Newport was his peak, apart from one amazing strike, he has done little else in our current debarcle of a setup

I don't think we should judge any player's ability as long as they are playing under this manager.

Listening to the actual press conference from this morning. Apparently we had 4 or 5 enquiries for Hallam Hope. God knows from who.

Port Vale have been long time admirers of him.

Twine?
But to be fair, how many clubs put money on the table for him this window ?. Had they he would have been gone.

I think it's 99 percent certain he would though it's the end game isn't it

The transfer window is a strange beast. It’s very easily manipulated.
We may still sign Bakayoko (not saying we will, but we can). Coventry were loathe to let him go because of injuries to their strikers. In 2 weeks time, say, they have recovered and he becomes surplus to requirements.
Coventry don’t want any fee so they terminate his contract and he becomes a free agent. We then sign him.

Can't do that. The player's contract has to have been terminated before the window closed.

I think players had to be released by the end of yesterday for them to be signed as free agents this season

Yep, a player has to be released from his current contract prior to the deadline of the previous transfer window to be able to play in the rest of the current season.

Other strikers are however available on free transfers if Power can find 50p down the back of his sofa....

What if he already has (behind the scenes) had it cancelled and we're just not privy to it yet? It's not uncommon to see later transfers complete and the detail behind it becomes public after.
