It had been stated by Wellens he was signing on 18th Sept, I think.
It's the 20th (only remember cos it's my mums birthday) I  wonder if he comes off tag at that date or some sort?

Give Pitman service and he'll score goals. That's all there is to it I think

Pompey fans are not happy to lose Pitman but are wishing him well and saying he's Swindon's gain. Pretty universal in the view from what I've read (Portsmouth FC - the news on Facebook) Slating Kenny jacket at the same time.

The majority are wishing him well and saying it's their loss, but there are a few saying he was lazy

Pitman’s name has been associated with us for years.
Have to say I was a little shocked when we signed him. Led to believe we had 3 strikers on the radar.
My initial concern and thought having last seen BP was an overweight lad struggling to run.
Felt a tad more relaxed from the picture yesterday where clearly he had shed some timber.
Pitman scores goals, can score headed goals and simply adds a physical presence.
Trust RW’s judgement and didn’t go overboard with an excessive deal.
If Pitman is “wounded” due to being cast aside by Pompey and gets his fitness sorted then could be a very interesting striker.
Swindon have created chances galore in the pre season games thus positive.
The lad Smith upfront will score a few.

Exciting times without doubt.
Will be kind of strange today as missing my first home game since March 2012.
Not counting that JPT competition as I flatly have refused to go and will not support it, unless they play Oxford where it takes on an exception.

My Pompey supporting mate says he is still quality and would rather Jackett left and Pitman stayed than the other way round.

Pitman will be our gain I am sure, give him the service he will score the goals, as he has during his career, you don't score nearly 180 1st team goals without having something about you. A fair few at a much higher level than L1.

Can’t miss an opportunity to see your Headington Heroes in action, eh, Duke.  Let’s face it Banbury’s only a stone’s throw from their ground - you can probably see your stately home from the centre circle, as on a clear day there’s a nice unobstructed view across the car park at the open end of the ground.  Cheesy

Growing up mate all my life in their territory both South and North of the County has made it unbelievable and more recently unbearable due to their results against us.
They are and will be the only rival in my eyes.
Despite this have got to know a fair few of their decent fans (The yellow Piss Stained, fence painting bastards).

Well, Duke, you seem to be saying that their decent fans are “yellow Piss Stained, fence painting bastards“ and that by implication the rest are even worse.
I can see why you gravitate towards STFC.
I think you must qualify as an Honorary Red!

£10m for the pair being reported, others saying its £5m for Bogle alone.
Let’s hope it’s the latter.

You can guarantee they will do their best to keep the money themselves. Fingers crossed that some of it comes our way at least.

On the forum it could also be a player swap involved knocking the actual fee down even more.
