Squad taking shape nicely now. If Woolery signs, then only a back up keeper and centre forward away from 2 decent players vying for every position. Will be a fairly bloated squad in terms of numbers - I make it 29 once the additional 3 are taken on - with up to 7 needing then be loaned or shipped out. Matthews, Reid, Broadbent, Curran, Haines, McGilp and Twine falling in to this category. Subject to getting the experienced goal scoring centre forward in, I believe the signs are good for another successful season.

That's just reaching based on Wellens' comment (around someone needing to come in at another club) I reckon, not a chance. They still have Godden as first choice and paid good money for him.
Ipswich are waiting on striker Ben Woodburn from Liverpool. That may knock on the departure of Norwood. Whether that’s to us is another thing. |
