Sounds very much like he is having a pop at people internally. Shame to hear nothing is close in an area we are very light!

Nope. Any loan goalkeeper will rule out Benda.
Sounds, in Wellens terms, happy with who he's got (first time loanee)

Nathan Bishop i reckon tracking Wellens quote, I read it as his first football League move. but he said first loan, so could fit (he's played for Southend right?)

He is a crafty fucker though is Wellens. Wouldn't put it past him. In part, playing DA here but what if Town surprised everyone and signed Benda on a perm? A la Wes Foderingham. Everyone thought we would maybe get him back on loan and boom, signed on a perm. Different times admittedly but Power (or backer) seems happy to produce the Benjamins (not Trevor) when keen Be interesting who this "first time loan" GK could be, providing it isn't a rd herring Unless you know otherwise Mr.P?

Wellens and Jewell found Benda so I have faith that have spotted another gem from the Premier or Championship U23 sides. Wellens may have arranged a loan for one of the young Man United keepers while he was up there. Paul Woolston, Matej Kovar and Nathan Bishop (although he previously played for Southend but not on loan) would all fit the bill, Wellens has good connections with the Man United staff still.

Wasn't there some mention RW has been speaking a lot with the WBA U23s....How about Ted Cann?
20yr old. Been on loan at Yeovil early this year but as stated, Wellens may mean first EFL loan. Except to me that type of signing would be a No.2. I know nothing about if he's any good but just was sure I'd heard about RW discussing with the Baggies U23 coaches. Which may have spurred the FGP link/rumours also.

Why do they have under 23's surely if a player isn't in the first team by 23 he needs to move on for the good of his own career as the chances are he's not going to make it in the first team. Under 21's seems more appropriate and something that crept in over recent years
