This transfer window is going to be mental, I’d have liked Yates but there are going to be a lot of decent players available that we wouldn’t usually be able to afford.

I quite enjoy the nonsense and rumours that get thrown around in pre season. Those of us old enough to laugh at the people getting sucked in and take it for what it is can just enjoy it all.
Its even easier to enjoy it when i have complete faith in Wellens to get us the best he possibly can, exactly as he did last season. Not sure when that was last the case, possibly Sturrock who i always felt knew what was needed.

So they can approach Wellens too?! Gutted to see Jerry head elsewhere but we mustn’t get drawn into bidding wars and pay over the odds. It does mean that the first one or two signings we announce would ideally be in the surprisingly good category to keep / make people calm. |
