This situation has hardly appeared out of the blue.
Wellens has stated previously that he has been actively seeking other players to improve the squad, lets hope he is successful in recruitment in the coming days.
If all we have as a strike force is Twine, God help us.

If the current situation is the same by the weekend I would expect Wellens to play a false number 9 with no out and out striker as I don’t think he will stick Twine in. I seem to remember we played that way against Colchester at their place once and came away with a win.

Sadly inevitable with some of the morons we have in our ranks, who also happen to be the most vocal. Have we had anyone mention the ‘Luongo money’ so far today? He scored 14 goals last season in a side that finished 11th...whilst he’s not on fire this season he seems exactly the type of player Wellens could get goals out of. A good start to the final part of the transfer window assuming he is followed up with at least one other striker. |
