and it's easy to forget many at this level don't get paid the big salaries, so small margins like a better commute may well sway a player, especially if few takers seem to be on the radar.  That must be the case for him, he had all month to wait for others to come in for him and milk the last month of his contract I assume.  Agent must have given the nod that there were no takers.

Ultimately, if Tyler Reid manages to perform anything from decent upwards then Knoyle will become yesterdays news very quickly.

Close to signing a left back according to Wellens - can also fill in at right back.

Wants to spend his budget ‘further up the field’.

Not on a 20+ goal striker surely?

Sounds like my hunch about Reid not being 1st choice was wrong, then. If we get this new guy, who will be cover at LB?

We seem to have 15 players at the moment. I suppose that means 5 more permanent plus a few more loans.

Could you list the 15 ?.... I worry a bit that some of these might not be credible candidates for an auto seeking squad.

KK was an adequate right back, nothing more - would have been happy to have him there but not concerned that he has gone.

As has been said, there is not one player in the squad that I would be upset if they went, which is the problem.  When you are not worried about losing what the fans perceived as their POTY it shows that the entire squad is just not good enough for what we need so I welcome a fresh influx of players - as long as it is done much better than the Flitcroft attempt.  Based on January signings I trust Wellens and Jewell much much more than I do Flitcroft and Brown.

Yes unless he is signing another first choice LB.

As Wellens says he will have a RB a LB and an ambidextrous fullback, the signing he is hinting at is the one who can fill in at both positions not an actual left back.

Imagine if a tribunal set a fee and Cambridge couldn't afford it. What would happen then?

Actually didn't that happen to us once?

Seems to ring a bell, wasn't it that French winger who actually played for us but then left when we were told it would cost £100k+?

Edit...
Sebastien Ruster.
