Meh. Nothing to judge him on so a 'suck it and see ' signing.

(+Knoyle had not much league experience when he arrived too)

The problem with losing someone like Knoyle, is you wonder whether they can kick on to be a better player, or whether this is as good as it gets.

We've seen in recent years these lads come in whose first requirement is trying to get up to speed to be a Div 3/4 player.

That's wholly understandable, and if they are really very good it shouldn't matter.... so the likes of BOO, Brad Barry, Brophy, at times could be OK, but never really enough to become a proper Ben Purkiss type pro.  The problem is, if you're looking for auto, which we should be, then you do need a more experienced type, who knows he's good enough for Div3/4 but can push on that bit extra.

Koiki was a typical example, still trying to get up to speed as a pro, so not really able to offer the extra needed at this stage of his career.  Knoyle has probably done enough to show he can be a Div 4 player...

Not much else to go by on their forum TBH.

Neither of the Reid brothers are particularly good footballers. They've gone as far as they have on physicality. Very limited otherwise.

Tyler might make a living in League Two eventually.

I haven't heard any fanfare about Tyler Reid from United fans myself (beyond a few "hope we have a sell on clause" cries). Only played a few times at u21 level, United let him go for next to nothing (I think he's too old for u18s games now?) All evidence suggests he's a way behind Connor Roberts (player of the year at a League Two with 30-40 senior games under his belt). That said, he's built like a brick shithouse (if short) and pretty fast so physically he's probably up to men's football.

Tyler Reid. The kid is nowhere near as experienced as Roberts but has the physical qualities that make him look ready for senior football, and he's been playing extremely well for the u23s.

Sorry.

yeah, he's shit. Released by Swansea 2 weeks ago and nobody snapped him up within 4 seconds. Power doing it on the cheap again.

Uncut diamonds are about. Maybe we have one here? Just because he has not bloomed to be worth millions for Manu or the Swans does not mean Wellens and Hunt cannot get something out of him. So let’s hope for ourselves and him he kicks on.
