No idea. I did see it mentioned on the adver comments the other day. It is 'common knowledge' according to the comment. Oddly enough, said contributor couldn't provide any evidence supporting the claim when challenged. That it's "common knowledge" seems to be enough to accept that it's true, apparently. |

The Adver's originally tweet about the news quoted Wellens saying something on the lines of Doughty's original contract had much more favourable terms for the player, whereas the new contract is much more favourable towards us. Obviously could be talking from a financial perspective or lengthwise, but the tweet has since been removed, which is a tad suspicious. |
