Knoyle replaced Purkiss who could barely get over the half way line, and Purkiss is the type of player you see at this level quite often - or you get the Koiki type.  I'll have Knoyle over those thank you.  He's a solid defender and he is ok going forward, with areas he can improve.

Knoyle is still improving, he is by far the finished article but is a good player at this level and I would suggest he can probably do a decent job in L1, keeping him and Conroy would be the start of a good defensive base for next season otherwise it will be a brand new defensive line.

Conroy after his injury last season and then not starting a first choice I think he possibly needs to stay and get games under his belt consistently if he has ambitions of playing further up the league which again I would say is a possibility with more experience.

Wellens says he has 2 marquee signings in the pipeline.

Maybe one is Tent Alexander Arnold!

If that’s the case he doesn’t need to make any signings!

He won't even have to go very far. There's a Go Outdoors store just down the road.

Dunno about marquee, but a cask marque signing in the form of a Steve Foley type would be great.

Possibly the best thing you’ve ever said on here.

It’s a shame you made such a James Blunt of using the quote facility! Edit - as I have!
