Presumably he is.....on the basis that he doesn't get a mention here:

If Lancashire isn't fit, Romanski surely will be...

Cheers Fraser.

Yeah, provided Lancashire and/or Conroy are fit I don't think its panic stations. No more than it was yesterday anyway, we all know we are thin on cover here.

Brown has said that Lancashire isn't going to be ready given how much of pre season he has not played. Robertson out means we are starting with Conroy and Romanski. There is no way Romanski is strong enough to handle L2 at the moment.

Quite incredible CB's have been such a problem to secure. Mind you i remember over the summer the FA saying the area they were speaking to youth coaches about was defenders as there was a lack of them being developed at the required level.

Robertson was surely in line to be starting on Saturday, new signings in the mean time excepted, with Lancs probably coming on for 20-30 minutes if we're in a position to do so.

Bit of a blow in the short term, no loss in the longer term.  Hope this doesn't mean we make a rushed signing of lesser ability than we really need.

Lancs played 70 mins against QPR - would expect him to start ahead of Robertson if both fit.

Tough game for the CBs on Saturday - Harry Smith will be a handful.

I don't think Lancs would have been L2 match fit in PB's eyes just yet hence I think Robbo would have got the nod in the very short term.

Lancs definately would be priority over Robertson if they are both fit, Smith has done well in pre season scoring 4 in their 5 pre season games.

Rather depends on your type I suppose? Hmmm Wink

Cannot say it surprises me, as football becomes an evermore non contact sport who would want to be a defender these days, little opportunity for glory and plenty of opportunity to be the scapegoat when things go wrong and you give away a foul after a striker runs into you and falls over.
