STFC Rumours Twitter account states that PB was watching Byron Webster & Sid Nelson on Monday night ahead of potential season-long loans for both.

Webster would be a fantastic signing. 200+ games at L1 level, 6'4". Certainly an upgrade on Lancs.

Swotting up on Webster. He’s just come back from serious knee injury and in June just signed a 1 year deal with Millwall. Find it odd he’d spend that year at Swindon. I don’t think that ones a go’er. Sid Nelson I can see happening and here before Saturday.

Nelson and Webster are both excellent signings for this division and the fact they have played together must help, if indeed it is them and if indeed they do come here.

I agree as I said yesterday.
Byron Webster - Unlikely, he has just signed a new contract in May and is on the way back to fitness after a terrible injury that kept him out a year.

Seems wierd that he would spend that whole contract out on loan at a team 2 leagues lower TBH.

Might be the only ones interested in him?

If was a young prospect, but agreed it makes little sense at 31.

Its not so much the 2 leagues lower its that hes 31 and has recently signed a 1 year contract extention which would cover the length of his loan spell with us, doesn't seem to add up for me, as Horlock says if he was a youngster then yes the move would make sense but not at 31.

It makes perfect sense he would want to go on loan if he thinks he won't start regularly with Millwall.

I doubt any team loaning out any player over the age of 24 will not expect the loaning team to pay a large (75% at least) chunk of their wages TBH as we did with Hussey, we covered all his wages from Sheff Utd.
