I couldn't give a damn but there is an element of every clubs fan base that doesn't tolerate such behaviour.
You could sense the disappointment emerging when news of Doughty's trial was circulating.
The snake emoji was being used considerably when Obika signed for them but there was little angst when we kindly loaned them Mehdi Kerrouche and Lee Cox.

Having never lived in Swindon, signing players that have previously played for Oxford is no problem whatsoever for me.
I’m completely the same as you KT.

I quite like getting rivals ex-players. The rival always turns on them, which makes it more fun if they do turn out ok for you. Like Peacock seeming to prefer us over the other team in red, or you can take some credit in ruining the player, like Joey B (Oxford fans will have you believe he was a hero again for them, when in reality he was never the player they sold for 1m)

Swindon's rivalries are mostly just a novelty on the day we play them for me, I'd rather us beat Northampton as the people I grew up with follow them unless they are Utd etc. Failing that, beat the Dons at any cost, pains me to see shirts on grown men around where I grew up. That's not a rivalry though, it's just right, I just happen to live closer to it than most.

I think it's more about how you're raised as a Town fan and/or the mentality of your football friendship group as opposed to hating Oxford is for the residents of the Borough of Swindon. If I was raised to think that Oxford United are 'piss-stained scummers and to be soft on them makes you a disloyal Town fan' then the likelihood is that I'd adopt that mentality too (until realising how daft that is). In conclusion: Whatever floats your boat.

Yeah I think you are right. I’ve never lived in Swindon and have been abroad for a lot of my adult life. I guess based on my football ‘upbringing’ I’ve got more of a ‘hatred’ of Hibernian or Racing Union in Luxembourg!!

Well, why didn't you just state the names in the first place instead of putting some guff to make everybody guess and trying to make out you're yet another one of the ITK brigade?
Don’t be rude, this is a rumour thread. I was just stating what I was told. This would be pretty crap site if everyone kept everything to themselves. I couldn’t give names because I didn’t have any.

The only player that genuinely pissed me off signing for the Pox after leaving us was Tommy Mooney, otherwise I don't give a shit about ex players playing for or previously for any rivals.
TBF to Tommy, he did come out publicly after the move and say he made a mistake and should have stayed with Swindon.
As for rumours, I have heard a few but then again to few to mention, I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption.

This former Oxford player seems to be pretty decent. Think we should get him on board.
They see Potter as a bit of a icon. Wonder what they'd make of the Pic of him holding up a red & white scarf
