Thought he'd gone to Pox, didn't he?

That's a serious midfield overhaul this summer... certainly not going to miss Tom Smith now!

In all seriousness, a ST to cover for Woolery and Richards and a CB of the same caliber of the most recent arrivals and we're there.
Absofuckinglutely. I am very pleased with PB's business in transfers so far, just another couple as you say in those 2 positions and we will be there.

Power's really going to have pull something out of his hat to secure relegation at this rate.

Doughty would be fantastic. 42 games in L1 last year and seemed to do well on trial at Oxford so he shouldn't be rusty.

Another CB and I think we have a very good chance.

Pox manager really liked him but was already committed to signing 2 midfielders. He was recommended to them late on so was a no go.

Don't forget that MD filled in at CB for us before.... and he 's never been the quickest.

That losing side at Vale Park, I always thought was about as bad as it gets for a Div 3 game.

Peterborough will be annoyed, given that he tried to get money for him from us earlier in the summer

The only players I would have here now out of that line up are Vigs, Nathan, Doughty (not in that position) and possibly JO.

Happy with the news of the Doughty signing......but I hope they'll delouse him immediately on arrival since he's been wearing one of those piss-stained shirts recently.

Its suddenly looking much more optimistic, but yup, two massively key positions to fill.

I think Doughty will strengthen us, but have we got too many midfielders now??! Wonder if we will see an off or two..

I wouldn't be shocked to see us make a bid for Anton Ferdinand who has been told he can leave Southend (for a fee) and hasn't played in their friendlies so far and PB used him as captain last season.
