Fuck that with a goal return of 1 goal in 2 starts he's prolific enough for us to play him upfront.

In this era of stupid money it suits power perfectly. Absolutely no reason why he would even comtemolate selling the club when you have players like Lookman going for fees up to 11 million. ELEVEN MILLION for a league one winger who they signed 2 years ago on a free.
1.5 million used to buy you a 20+ a season striker from league 1. The incentive for power is there like never before, one gem and it's now serious serious money. In a way it's nice to see big fees trickle down the leagues. Payout a fee for a player like bogel and if it's a success our annual budget could be covered 10 fold

I have a friend at work who follows Liverpool (actually goes regularly to watch them, rather than the armchair variety) who I overheard talking to someone about the fact they didn't spend in the summer. Struck me as bollocks so I checked what they had spent and it was about £66 million. His point was that the net outlay was next to nothing as they had sold players for almost the same amount. However the point is really that his perception is that they have spent nothing, but their outlay would pay our wages for about 30 years.
