Right back from QPR who played against us on Wednesday night.
Had loan spells at Northampton and Cambridge last season.

Well if it is him, at least he won't be playing against Brophy again.
If it is him then Brophy had better hide his underwear at training to avoid deep heat, he absolutely pasted him into the hoardings, about the only time the qpr fans got a little jiggly.

I've heard extremely unreliable rumours of the mystery fellow being ex-Villa, Blckpool and Blackburn forward Nathan Delfouneso who is currently a free agent.

I saw some bloke out running in a Swindon top.
He had hair.
A potential signing?

The QPR website has the whole 120 minutes and they've put the Radio London commentary over the top which is very good actually and was interesting because Lingy was one of the co-commentators. A couple of points of interest were as follows.
1. Talking to the 'Swindon side', he was told they were planning on having 3 new signings in by yesterday. It later came out that one of these would be the afore mentioned Darnell Furlong. Obviously not happened yet but watch this space...
2. Embleton (who I would assume to be the 'Swindon side' in point 1) told him that they were looking for a couple of experienced heads (or words to that effect). This was music to my ears as we have been crying out for this for the last 3 years at least IMO. No idea if these 2 experienced players will make up the other two thirds of the three.
Pretty credible source I think you will agree - Ross Embleton via Martin Ling.

I wouldn't necessarily expect a Gordon Greer type. Jordan Turnbull (80+ League One appearances) would count as experienced.

Don't think Furlong would displace Barry at present but he looked OK on Wed

Palace want to sign a striker before letting Anderson leave, I think the Benteke deal was expected to be done by now, meaning Anderson would be free to join us. Obviously there's been a bit of a delay there so it's probable he would have been one of the 3 mentioned above.

Well it obviously wasn't Furlong then, he wouldn't be in our kit eating with us on the evening he was about to play against us for another team, although if he knew he was coming to us he would probably be loathe to injure a future team mate which may explain why Brophy ate him for breakfast?

Haven't seen him play, but he's a right back. Does anyone know whether he's an offensive right back i.e likely to play as the right wing back in a 3-5-2 rather than the right sided CB of the 3?
