I'd have us down as more likely to pick up a Nichols after he's had a hyped up move or future and failed to match up...bit like Super Jon and Ajose.

Every player has a price, seeing as how he signed a 3 year contract in the last window, his price is likely to be sizeable.

Don't want to go Chang, but Nichols is destined for the championship / upper L1. That's certainly where he deserves to be on current form and how transfers go (I've watched him more than just the Liverpool games). The idea that we could get him is nonsense. For one, I can't imagine Power splashing out the requisite-ish 500k to get a forward player when we're scoring for fun but leaking goals at the back. He's many things but he's not stupid.

500k for a L2 player who's contract expires at the end of the season?

I think a bidding war might push it up there, but other than that I think it's quite an over-estimation.

Each to their own. I have a business where I try to buy cheap, and sell on at a big mark up to an interested party who cant be arsed to do the dirty work. If I couldn't get stuff for cheeky prices, then I wouldn't be doing it right. Same principle.
