Ajose aint gonna cut it at Championship level - and after a year either out on loan or training with the youth team at Leeds can't believe he would be in a big rush to head back to similar situation. With Billy Sharp, Matty Done and Connor Salmon already why would Sheff U want him? As we all know Lee Power has told us Swindon have no need to sell.......although Will Randall went to Wolves about 10 minutes after he said it, and he then suggested Yaser and Michael Smith would be following him out of the door shortly afterwards.

Yes but there's a difference between having to sell and choosing to sell.

In simplest turns, pretty much every club will always sell if someone offers more than The player is deemed to be worth. Someone offers us 800k/1m for Ajose we'd be utterly bonkers not to sell.

Ajose is mad if he leaves now and I hope Power resists as it will leave us vulnerable as well if Obika gets injured. We need to get the Gentle Giant Smith out this month and Ajose needs to stay and as for Ajose himself as he has already found out its a big step up to the Championship and after all the crap he had at Leeds you would think he would want to see the season out at least with us. I don't blame any player wanting to play at a higher level but he has only just started hitting form and if he did go and chooses a team not suited to the way he needs them to play he could struggle again and back out the team.
I really hope Power resists and where were all these clubs in the summer as he was available for ages and no one wanted him.

I don't think Ajose will go, personally.

Surely this is still paper talk. Look at list of top scorers in league 1, look at list of struggling clubs, match the two, write story.

Priority must be central defenders and teaching Vigs to hoof the ball some times

Like the first goal on Saturday when we conceded within 7 seconds of a long clearance?

Exactly - Point being every single comment that we need to play long is futile. We're not going to, there's very good reasons why not too. Mistakes happen, whether we play short or long.

I think that all that illustrated is that a long clearance can often immediately be coming back at you at pace needing defending and bypassing the midfield.

But the point I'd take is that it isn't a failure of the system - it is a failure of the individual.

Well yes mistakes happen everywhere. But if we lose it up front we have midfielders and defenders who can deal with it. Piss around at the back and its a 1 on 1.

In any case I don't think quick distribution from the back is an issue for anyone on here. Its the mindless "put ourselves under pressure for no reason" (then repeat) that people get rightly upset over.

We need some rumours.
