If Smith and Byrne go, netting us approx £1m profit, I would hope a good portion of that is earmarked for incomings.
Doubt it somehow, though.

Tans told me Byrne was going today. He's such a man of knowledge.

Given we made two six figure bids for players recently and signed one for £55k + add-ons, why the doubt if we get money in that we wouldn't offer for players?

As both were labelled derisory and no 2nd bids made, i would hazard a guess neither were serious attempts to buy a player

But they were still made, so risky if not really meaning it. Plus we did just spend £55k + add ons for a part timer, hardly the sign of a club not willing to "invest". That's the key word.
All the evidence of Power's period in charge are that investments will be made.
Byrne - he funded Luongo - he funded Smith - he funded Barker - he funded Obika - he funded Stewart - club may well have self funded this one
That's nearly £1million (based on reported fee's) spent in his time in charge. In OST style, he spends money, FACT!
I didn't include Gladwin, as that was a cheap one, but again invested in a talent that repaid and then some.
The jury is out right now on whether we've trimmed too far, but one thing that cannot be doubted is that we will spend money when we want to.

But now only 2 days to sort it out. We've never had to sort out our squad in such a short space of time before.
Next couple of days will be very telling

I thought Luongo and Byrne were signed when McCunty was the owner

Expect a short term loan striker - but I fear Smith wont be going anywhere Replacement for Byrne - hopefully Kent. Got to bear in mind we've only got 1 loan slot left

Splitting hairs really but did Lee Power really fund all those transfers? A few of them coincide with the sales of Flint (£400k), Collins (£200k), and Caddis (£150k).
Once the injured players are all back we will be fine.

Season we lost 0-5 at the gills we only had one striker on the books with a day to go iirc. That didn't go too bad, certainly remember the same conversations going on.

I know I've mentioned him (not Him) before, but if Town sell Byrne (95%) and Smith (55%), I would suggest we make a double swoop for Georgie Francomb and Adebayo Azeez. Yeah I ferkin said it.
