I hope we sign up a load of French Scousers, just to annoy Reginald.

Traore's got to be the worst scarf over head shot ever. Looks like its something his grandma knitted

Drissa Traore may simply be the exception because he's not French but Ivorian (like Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure)

He had the coolest car of recent Swindon players. Usually is standard footballer-spec Audis or Mercs, he had a Chevrolet Camaro  Too Cool

a shame he was utterly shite...

Dossevi was Togolese.

As many French players, Dossevi qualified for his country of parentage, quite often these lads play for France at age group, then when it's obvious they're not good enough for the full les bleus, opt for their roots.

For our new signing, to the tune of 'Friday, I'm in love'

Massimo had to depart
Louis Thompson broke my heart
Rodgers doesn't ever start
Oh Traore, I'm in love.

This is the kind of innovation mixed with 90s cheese I can really get behind. Wasn't too bothered about the new season ahead, but if this is the standard of silly chants we can look forward to I may upgrade my excitement level to 'Buzzing.'

My local non league side had a player last year called Luke Wanadio (pronounced Wan-Adge-e-o)

Every game he was serenaded, to the tune of ‘Pumping On Your Stereo’ by Super grass

“Can you hear us chanting Luke Wanadio?
Can you hear us chanting Luke Wanadio?”

I was gutted when he left this close season, not cos he was much kop but because that chant always made me smile

I remember the first time I saw Fola in a pre season friendly, it’s the only time I’ve ever seen a player beat a man not through pace or skill, but simply by having a longer stride than him.

Didn’t Luggy take one look at him in the first training session he took after taking over and just say ‘not for me’?

No imagination that man, with his insistence that footballers need to be good at football
