Definitely, especially when you consider how much of a hole the departed have left us.

And I thought my post was as good as it gets.

This thread is Going South, we should go back on topic by discussing the Reds.

I would have thought he'd be keen to earn a contract with us - he needs to keep the Wolf from the door. Presumably we can't take all of the trialists on as playing staff though... Somethings Gotta Give.

Puns aside. There's all sorts of names popping up no: Jamie Sendles-White, Bradley Barry (cousin of Gareth), Drissa Traore.

Hope Cooper can handle all these new names, it might take some anger management to deal with it.

To be pedantic, I *think* Bradley Barry is Gareth's nephew.

Whatever, it's fun to finally have some names, at this stage of close season, that's really As Good As It Gets.

Hopefully these players will inject some more pace and power (and personnel) into our squad. Much needed.

hmmm, was thinking about binning supermarine, but you can't turn down seeing that many trialists.

I hope we have a good mix of sublime and substandard, it's usually entertaining.

Well I know think we know enough about him to start slating him.

Ryan Kent is too selfish and though he is exciting his final ball or shot is weak.

Just thought Id be the first to get in there with and ill informed bullshit opinion.

Haha. Nearly posted exactly the same thing myself.

I'll just have to be content with being second I suppose.

Yes, I couldn't be bothered to tweet back pointing out that his critique (they haven't played enough games recently), could have been levelled at Kasim, Byrne, Mas etc etc before they signed too.

I'm waiting for Vital Swindon to 'understand' we are signing someone.

Not exactly....we paid money for Mass and Byrne.  Kasim, yes.

When you have a look at these trialists, it's because they've been rejected elsewhere, often for a reason, the odds of finding a Kasim, are against....more likely a Dossevi, or worse some of the shite that PdC accumulated.

We are, where we are....facing a rebuild that will require patience.

The reason(s) I'm not overly enthused is that we've already rejected Sendles-White and Nicholson in some form and having both Rodgers and Barry on board *could* suggest 'jobs for the boys' - are they here for their ability? These are mild concerns which can be ended by watching them play.

Trialists are rarely taken on. All is okay.

Indeed, Reg. And so long as the Power-Cooper model remains this'll be happening every summer. We just need to make sure that there enough permanent signings who can potentially bring in a profit at a future date. Fortunately, we still have some assets that could bring in decent transfer fees, but this might not be the case after January.

I've got bucket fulls of patience...
