Hylton is Williams' replacement - brought in early.
I think the club were never going to try and hang on to him.
Good bit of future planning

I am arguing for arguings sake, but its only good planning if Hylton is up to it. So far so good, no idea if he'll get 1/5/10/20/25 goals a season though.

Yep, bit of an ask at this stage for Hylton to be considered the replacement for our 20+ goals top scorer.

Suppose, but I'm surprised we didn't offer Williams a new reduced deal that could be competitive with Scunthorpe's. Though I'm not sure he's flavour of the month and is positively ancient by our standards.
Imo opinion he wont score anywhere near as many again as he did last season. I'm not overly concerned he's gone. I still shudder at his efforts as the lone striker. Send me down the tattoists with audrey if i'm wrong..

A few of his bone idle displays and the fans will turn. I hope it works out ok for him.

Not saying Hylton will score Williams' share of the goals this season.
Just that the club decided not to hang on to Willo for whstever reason and saw Hylton as a replacement early on.
As with all signings, time will tell.

Just heard a whisper that Villa youngster Kevin Toner may be coming our way on a season-long loan.

I don't think Williams was coopers biggest fan for whatever reason. He had his kid, then was rotated. Had his attitude changed perhaps?

I think next season is going to be fascinating.
I don't for a minute think we are going to be challenging up the top. We really don't know at this point as there has really been no recruitment. It just seems we may see a load of new players, some shit but hopefully some really good young talent playing attractive enterprising football. Maybe a tilt at promotion the following season.
Im pretty sure it will be entertaining.

Ha, first thing my Gooner mate said when I asked, was 'we call him Boo'
He also said 'he loves to get forward, with good, well timed, over lapping runs. He's lively'
Sure.

I don't, nothing in the press or from the player but who knows.
