I know a fair few glovers and the consensus from them is that he has zero confidence and is a shadow of the player that left them to join us. Anyone know when his contract is up?
While having a quick look at the ciderspace forum today I read these comments about Willo...
Williams is a waste of time and space! We should of never resigned him! He was the one who chose to go to swindon after all we offered him, it was his fault for taking it! Not welcome here and an absolute waste of money! Comes crawling back and i still cant believe we accepted him back, dirty badge kissing twat! I knew he wouldn't of done anything from
the minute he signed! One of the most greedy players i have ever seen i cant wait to get rid of him!
So true ive been saying the same for weeks but some other fans think otherwise and keeps saying that there glad to see him back here, lets be honest if he wasnt performing in league one very well how is he good enough for us,
I've said it a hundred and one times on here. (and that's not much of an exaggeration!).
Ed Upson alluded to it in his column in the programme a few weeks ago.
Andy Williams denied it in a recent interview in the programme.
Yet still, people come on here believing the inaccuracy printed in the paper.
Williams did not kiss the badge at Swindon when he scored against us. It may have looked like it (for those at the game would have been 50+ yards away) but he didn't. You may have read it in the Gazette match report but that was wrong. He didn't kiss the badge, end of.
If you don't rate AW as a player then that's fine. For crying out loud though, stop accusing him of doing something he didn't do. When both he and his team mate feel they need to go public and deny that he kissed the badge, at what point will you believe them?
He's a league 1 player at best, did OK for us previously but clearly not good enough for Championship. Sorry to be blunt. As I posted on another thread what proved it for me was Yeovil's game against the Toolstation side Radstock Town in the SPC which we won 8-0. There was some amusing commentary on a local radio station. Williams missed a bucketful of chances and if you can't score against a Toolstation side you certainly won't against a Championship one. He did get one right at the end, finally but with the opportunities presented he should have had 3 or 4.
Seriously I'd play Webster or Duffy and Hayter up front. sounds daft I know, but yesterday Duffy was a right handful when he got forward for set pieces. We've got to be a bit more ugly and belligerent and we've got to get wise quickly to football at this level. January will be too late, as we'll be out of sight. The current strikers are not good enough.
