Reading a little about him it sounds like he's going to play on the wing for us. We have plenty of options for the front 3 now with Ranger, N'Guessan, Reis, El Gabas, Pritchard and Storey. Let's hope El Gabas and N'Guessan look as good as the other signing's we have made!

There is also Ajose as well!
With that list of forwards I would try and get Storey out on loan, I can't see him getting anywhere near the first team for the moment.

I'm absolutely delighted with whoever is doing the player recruitment this season.

Hard to find fault with it so far. Brought costs down, given us a first team capable of doing what they have in the last 2 games and now looking like we've even got cover most places - bar maybe centre back. If TAH comes back from Carlisle match fit and in form even that is taken care of.

If it means that Byrne goes back to LB I'll cry.

I suspect he will be on the bench and will be cover for McEveley, at least i hope thats the case. Will be amazed if he plays ahead of the wingers we now have.

We've spent 400k on transfer fees this season. For that we've got:

Tyrell Bedford, Nathan Byrne, Barthram, Rossi Branco, Luongoooooo, Tijane Fried Rice, Harley, Kasim, Alex Smith, Agombar, Ranger, El Gabas, N'Guessan.

Sure, we don't know about wages, but I trust the new board to keep them low. I was as sceptical about them as the next guy start of the season, but this last day of the transfer window still gives me a sense of 'I told you so' to all those people who claimed asset-stripping and 'people who don't know what they're doing'.

With the obvious exception of CB we really have got a lot of depth now.

A few weeks ago i expected the likes of Storey, Smith, Bathram to be regulars in the starting lineup.  They will have a job to even be bench warmers now.

I thought we got Byrne on a free. If not I apologise. Even so, 500k for those players is pretty great going. Yes, I'm probably missing off signing on fees etc., but I doubt we'll be paying that much. This isn't that cunt who used to be the club's agent...

I'm a little bit dissappointed that our focus on youth has kind of been skewed by them not being OUR youth, but I still think Storey, Smith, Barthram etc. will make appearances. Storey could become a winger, he's got the pace, and I remember him putting in a couple of very lovely crosses last season.

TAH should, if we have any sense, have a recall clause on his contract. I'm happy he's off playing games and possibly getting part of his wage/phone bill/big booty bitches bill paid for instead of sitting on the bench after such a long lay off. He does have all the ability and attributes to be a great CB, he just got crocked and has barely seen action.

It might also alleviate some of the moaning he's been doing.

Let's not jizz our pants just yet...way too early to judge what we've got in for the season and how they might develop. We've seen any number of players down the years who've shone for a bit and then mysteriously deteriorated into oblivion. We've had a good 10 days and that should be enjoyed, but let's keep a bit of perspective out of fairness to the players.

Haha.

I love it when Reg comes on to tell everybody how to feel.

The problem is he is right though.

After losing at Shrewsbury we had many fans posting that we were shite & heading into oblivion, I even had someone in the DRS tell me at half time against the Pikeys that we were going to get relegated because we couldn't score any goals.

We are going to have some bad days this season, and the concern is we have a number of fans who will turn on the team very quickly.

At the moment things are looking good, but we have some tough games coming up & I just hope that if we do struggle in those games that the crowd stick with the team & don't get on their backs.

Reg is right to be fair. Football fans are notoriously poor at keeping things in perspective. We're either slashing our wrists and predicting relegation quickly followed by total oblivion, or we're nailed on to win the League when in fact, neither outcome is that likely.
