Did he ever play for Spurs?
The experience will be a hugely welcome addition

Agreed Another creative attacking player, still think we lack some steel in the midfield. Maybe thats going to be Luongo's job, think we need another though.

I agree, think we are definitely short of a defensive midfielder in the squad.

Especially since Navarro's knee seems to have imploded again

Alex Smith looked alright in DM. Expect Luongo and Harley behind Mason next Saturday though. Would take a cheap punt on the DM on trial, looked tidy if unfit.
And Matt Taylor - that'd be an excellent addition. Linked with Port Vale, who even we should be able to compete with on wages, and it's back towards the SW for him too.....
And then a striker - the million dollar question. The difference between a struggle, mid-table and an unlikely surge to 9th. But they don't grow on trees - well cheap, available and fit ones don't anyway.

Ex Swindon target Marlon Pack is training with Shitty and will play for them tomorrow, would have been a good signing but not sure he is worth £100k+ Out-of-contract Cheltenham Town midfielder Marlon Pack is training with the club, head coach Sean O'Driscoll confirms
Pack will play for #BristolCity at Bournemouth tomorrow, subject to relevant insurance documentation.

Central defender named Taylor? Sign him up.
Pack is definitely not the type of player we need this season.

I remember Harley being quite handy for Exeter but he seems to have struggled since. Maybe a drop down and regular playing time will help him recapture some form.

Happy with Harley, bit of experience in the squad may be as valuable as his ability on the pitch

Harley was quality against us for Exeter. A player who wanted the ball, and could see a pass. He dictated play for them. Even Cooper said we are a little small in stature and Harley wont help that. If we only have so much money to spend funny to spend it all on small ball playing midfielders and not look to balance the team out a bit.
Harley as with his ex Exeter team mate Taylor would both be good signings IF they are still at the standard they showed then. At present we have 2 fit center backs and we don't know how far off Troy ( he played for spurs so we must be keeping him ) is from being fit for first team.
As others have said we do need a striker. I just cant see Williams as the only striker in a 433. I don't think he plays well with his back to goal. His hold up play is not up to what that system requires for me. With his pace if we have to play him you would think either side or a central striker would be better for him. Have to admit i wish Yeovil would take him back.
Must have striker with physical presence who holds the ball up and brings others into the game in that position for me.
Just thinking for a player to be asked to sign for a club that doesn't have a manager , well that must be crazy really. Any player would want to know who the manager see's him fitting into things.
Does that mean its cooper ( oh god no ), or there is someone ready to step in who is pulling some strings all ready.
