I still reckon it was out of spite.

When he realised he had been turned over by the PdC/Wray spending splurge he got rid of Wray and manufactured a scenario where PdC would walk.

There is no logical reason why he could not have waited and actually got some sort of return on his investment - instead he gave the club away allied to a ridiculous timescale

he had been trying to sell the club for months and nearly completed a sale in late summer/autumn last year.

Yes, but he still planned financially for the entire season. Something changed, presumably the TAH/Collins tribunial and transfer request and PDCs criticisms.

His money, he can do what he wants. Never going to feel he didn't fuck us over a bit. Well, maybe that's not the right phrase since he has allegedly left the club in a good financial state,.

So we've been told
Do you think that he made it up to engineer his departure?

Anyone who doesn't resent Black for the petty, petulant way he bailed out mid season needs their heads looking at. I blame Black, then Wray, then to a lesser extent that bipolar* Italian twat for the mess we are in. McCrory is on a hiding to nothing. Assuming his intentions are honourable he is trying to get us to a sustainable model blueprint around a young side with future value in it. I'd be happy to see us play good football and build over 2-3 years rather than this continual shit or bust model we've been following.

*not saying he's a twat because he's bipolar, which would obviously be a bit offensive. Just saying he is both bipolar and a massively egotistical twat

I honestly don't know - like everyone else, the true ins and outs of it all remain open to conjecture.

I'm looking at it from my perspective. If I were him I would have continued funding the club til the summer, letting it be known the club was for sale, and actually sell it not give it away.

4 more months would have cost him £1m yet his possible return from effecting a sale would have been far greater

Luke Rooney, Paul Benson and Paul Caddis will all leave in the next month.

Early july: we will sign Byrne, Luongo, Barthram & Mason from Spurs. Also Matt Taylor and Simon Church will join.

A further centre-back will sign before the end of July sating the needs of fans to have something approaching a full squad in place for the start of the season.

Jed will lose 3 stone and register himself as a player (holding midfielder).

Sounds a bit like Cuthbert when we signed him. Impressed for the youth team, but couldn't manage the step up to the first team at Celtic for one reason or another. Could be a decent signing.

Sounds like a promising young player, i guess with the youth already in the villa team a lot of the other young players will get let go. Lets hope he's up to the job for league 1
