Need some experience/fight in there too with Luongo. In my opinion of course.
What's Pook up to these days?

Not surprised its fallen over on wages after seeing what Rooney was on, I would get rid of him at the first opportunity if a club want to take him off our hands. Yes he COULD be good but he missed half the season with injuries and probably will next season too and on wages probably over £4k a week I don't see many takers.

Luongo
I'd love that, I thought he was a good little player.

Morshead mentioned the other day that we are still in talks about Luongo. As well as Byrne and Mason.

I still see Navarro, Cox, L Rooney, Benson & Caddis going before the season starts, which would leave us with 15 pros on the books. For 7 of those 15 it would be either their first or second years as Professionals.

I liked what I saw of Luongo an think he can only get better. Byrne needs to be used out wide and not at full-back and not on his wrong foot. Never seen Mason play.
If we sign those three, it'd be a good start but Luongo would need someone like Navarro (or even Cox) alongside him.

Which mason? From what I've heard I think Luongo and Louis Thompson would be a good midfield pairing, despite the lack of experience there. I've not seen Louis play, but by the sounds of things he tackles like his brother and gets in the right places. Luongo is good player, brave as anything, and would be very pleased to see him back here, even if it's just on loan.

Yep, he sounds like he'd be a good addition. Attacking midfielder isn't he?

If we do get Byrne back, he should be in the Ritchie position and NOT left back

Considering that it's pretty fucking abundantly clear that the playing budget will be cut, of course we'll listen to offers for anyone but as the Flint deal has shown the club aren't just snapping off hands.
Why is it such a surprise that we're trying to shift players in order to bring the budget down and sign new players?
Is it not better to try and keep a nucleus rather than having a whole new squad that do not know each other obviously at this level every players has their price but that is a different matter

Of course it is but that's not the position that we're in, is it? Why is it such a surprise to you that we're listening to offers?

But surely not everyone is on a high wage, as said at this level everyone is for sale for the right offer. Remains to be seen who is here come August, you do get the impression that it will be all change remains to be seen if that ends up a good thing
