Id quite like Danny ward back on loan until the rest of the season, not playing particular well for huddersfield so could be viable

He's been banging in 1 in 2 for Portsmouth. I'd take that.

Not really popular anywhere he's been due to work ethic (although good work ethic hasn't got our strikers anywhere yet) but fits the bill of a goal poacher, which we absolutely need, and a free agent in January. If he is as lazy as Portsmouth fans suggest though will he fit into Di Canio's plans, or will we have another Leon Clarke situation on our hands? My only other concern is he's supposedly on £5,000 a week. Think in terms of pushing on Di Canio is right that letting Benson go is the right thing to do.

We need someone. He's available. He has always come across as a bit of a prick, but if it takes up, fine.

I don't want him. Think we can do better and won't fit in with Paolo's hard work mentality.

This is what I think. If us, and of course Paolo, have learnt anything, it's that even a hint at a bad attitude will end in financial loss. I wouldn't take the risk. I think there's more chance of him being sent out on-loan, by us, before 7th Jan, whilst being on a 2 year contract, than there is of him being able to regularly find the net and be the greatest thing since Bobby Howe.

McLeod is overrated, scores so many penalties. Didn't impress once in 4 games against us last season.

Nothing to do with our defense being best in the league?

Love him here...a real poacher and still the right side of 30.

Think the need for a striker who scores is over stated - we're the 3rd highest scorers in the division. Sure the strikers haven't scored as many as you'd like but we've got very attacking midfielders who score a lot which is obviously something Paolo was aiming for.
In fact, not sure we need anyone else as we've also got the 2nd best defence and the best goal difference.
If we can extend the loan signings or make them permanent I reckon we're good to go. Just need Paolo to pull his finger out and stop us dropping points against teams we shouldn't. Trying to build a bit of unity at the club would be a good start, rather than slagging everyone off all the time.
