An Exclusive from BBC Wiltshire's Chris Wise: "Swindon are set to sign Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke on loan. They were waiting until they'd shifted fellow midfielder Oliver Risser who is now heading to Stevenage until January."

He's a box to box midfielder who can pop up with a few goals. That's 5 very good centre midfielders here now.

Competition for places is quite ridiculous now. Never know anything like it.

Rooney of the Luke variety I reckon.

He won't get a sniff of the starting lineup when Roberts is fit.

At the very least, surely we're going to need a proper Reserve team now?

Don't see him going, we haven't got that much cover on the wings.

Plus I reckon it's only a matter of time before we see Paolo going with a 5 man midfield. Probably one of those fancy European formations. We didn't really have the players for it last season but we have now.

I still dont see where Rooney would fit into a 5 man midfield.

If we went 1 upfront we have to drop one of Collins or Williams - so I'd have thought if anything Paolo would move Williams to one of the wings rather than drop him. Leaving Ritchie and Williams as first choice followed by De Vita and Roberts and then Rooney.

...or if we did go 4-3-3 he could even use Bostock as one of the wide men.

I dont think Rooney has a future here but he's still young.

I also think we'll for the most part stick with 4-4-2 with Williams and Collins.

Good luck at Stevenage Oliver Risser. Always gave 100% and popped up with a few screamers. Comes across as a good bloke who will be gutted he has been released but will enjoy playing 1st team football again.

When does the window shut?  Is it at midnight, or earlier?

And I'll add to the good luck wishes to Oliver Risser.  Comes across as a great guy and true gent...which doesn't happen in football as often as it should.

Paolo likes playing wingers rather than wide midfielders. You need at least 5 to give options on the bench and to cover injuries and suspensions. So unless some other players come in I don't see Rooney going anywhere, though he probably won't be starting too many games either.

I'm convinced we'll see a 5 man midfield formation soon (4-2-3-1, 4-5-1, 4-4-1-1) with Bostock or maybe Williams playing behind a single forward. The 4-4-2 formation is very old fashioned now and you don't see it in the PL much. You need the right players, primarily wide and attacking midfielders that can score goals which we've got. It is going to happen.

I'd stick to playing Collins and Williams upfront together, they are a right handful.
