Lots and lots of rumours going round that Benson is off, Shrewsbury and even Dagenham fans seem to think he might be going to them.

Now that we have got Bostock that's Bostock, Ferry, Navarro, Miller and Risser as central midfielders so Risser is going to struggle to get onto the bench from now on, think he's a goner, Rooney hasn't featured much this season and he might be getting fed up hopefully not though.

Can only see Risser or possibly Benson going tomorrow obviously along with Caddis, no-one else will go.

I think getting rid of Benson would be a mistake.

Whilst I expect Collins will be first choice - when he's on international duty or injured of if he needs a rest Benson is the perfect replacement.

Both would (...and thus far have) worked well with Williams up top and scored goals!

Apparently we're signing Caddis on loan from ourselves in the hope that him and Di Canio might like each other this time.

But IF we're signing Rooney then should Collins not play Rooney would and Benson might not get a look in?

I'm good, I pop in and read now and again, but I have to be drunk to actually post. I think I drink less than I used too.

Still boycotting though, as always, I must be the biggest boycotter in STFC history.

I actually came on line to tell remind Vic Morgan about the 1-0 away win against Charlton in the 99/00 season (think it was feb/march ish). Great away victories don't need lots of goals, a super human Talia performance and a Steve Cowe fluke are just as fun.

He missed it out from his column in the adver anyway.

How you doing DV?

Thats of course IF Rooney comes in and IF he's better than Benson.

To be honest, I know little of Rooney - he is a fox in the box in the penalty area finisher like Collins and Benson? or is he more industrious and workman like, like Williams?

We could go with 3 plus Bostock, so if Adam Rooney comes in, maybe Benson could go, but I would be surprised. He may not have the pace of the new boys, but his use of the ball in the build up is better. He may want a guaranteed start every week at his age though.

Benson has been fantastic for us. The only reason we should be getting rid is if the player wants to go.

Stop it with thew Benson rumour. It's an over reaction to him being out due to injury and, as far as I know, it originated from that rumours site.

Staggering how far some of you are taking this Benson rumour.
