Bostock sounds like he can't wait to get going in his interview on the OS...positively chomping at the bit...which is a good thing.

And that is a major factor if/when other clubs come knocking*. I don't reckon there's another club where he would have got such fantastic backing combined with pretty much a free rein to do whatever he wants. Edit - *For Di Canio I mean

Someone better inform the Pox that we now owe Agents £500K and are now £16 million in debt. Swindon meltdown.........Going to lie down on my bed don't feel happy by any of this

Just right the right level of investment to show we mean business without being stupid like Wigan/Cardiff were at this level not so long ago.

We won't know just how much they've backed him until the accounts are published. I've got a feeling there hasn't been as much backing as most people think. The cup runs last season would have generated well over £500k profit and I'm sure off the pitch income will have increased again (especially from the Paolo effect) - sponsorship, shop sales and so on. We haven't spent much on transfer fees and if we've been sensible with wages then the books might not be that bad. But having said that, there is no doubt that Paolo has pretty much been given everything he has asked for and I'm sure that will continue whilst things are going so well on the pitch.

Without meaning to sound like a negative nelly, still need to ride out the rest of the transfer window before I relax!

Think we still need another striker if Benno stays and two more if he goes

Think the latter part of that sentence hits the nail on the head. They've let him get on with it and backed him when things have started to turn to shit (especially with some of the players). Doubt there are many clubs that would give him such a free reign, definitely not West Ham for example.

Where have the rumours of him leaving come from?
