When i saw him at our place for Brighton the year they went up he played the old deschamps role. Picked the ball off the defence, kept it moving, helped switch play etc, and sat in front of the back four. He was an important part of the way they played football which i guess may have interested PDC for us next year.

The only concern is that given his size quite how he would work with Ferry in the middle. Douglas had the physical edge to make up for Ferry, and thats what Smith and Risser have done to a much lesser extent. I think Ferry may not be first choice next year, depends on Bostock etc perhaps

I can understand LittleRed's cautious approach.  I also remember Cureton, Thorpe, Nallis, Whalley and various other released  players that we got excited about that turned out shite.

The difference here for me is the Roberts is still classed as a good player by the fans of the team he's leaving, and clearly his legs still have a fair few years left in them (unlike Nallis, who was good but lame).

Didn't see his name mentioned anywhere.
Does this mean that Navarro isn't signing?

Scores a fair few goals so assuming he's an attacking midfielder.

Surprising signing, seems town are keeping things well and truly quiet before getting the signature on the dotted line

Played with Roberts at Huddersfield last season so a decent pedigree.

Was a very good player when i saw him at Ipswich/Sunderland.

Sounds like Navarros (subject to signing) new partner to me in the middle. Also looks like the sort of role Bostock may have played to me

Think he's our new penalty taker

http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/lethal_miller_targets_owls_penalty_job_and_bids_to_keep_up_proud_record_1_2966993

he's only ever missed one.

Is he a first choice or as an attacking midfielder will be a rotator with Ferry?

Did he play for Huddersfield last season? Might be a squad player.

Played 26 times last season for Huddersfield. Thinking he's a squad player.
