If we do sell Ritchie, our team is still good enough. It would just be a shame not to be able to see Rooney and Ritchie in full action together.

It's really not. Most of our attacks come from Caddis and Ritchie down the right.

If Ritchie goes it will be because he wants to - and if that is the case PdC will want him out anyway.
A million can't and shouldn't be turned down.
It should if Ritchie wants to stay. What will we do with 1 million with little over 24 hours left to find a replacement? If he wants to go then as you say fair enough.

As long as 1mil+ of it is instant cash on the hip, a deal of 1.5+ would be very prudent business sense. Would be surprised if anyone would turn that down?
At the end of the day, the board aren't holding money back from PDC and at this level it's getting players to want to come to you that's the trick. And with PDC at the helm, we seem to have that one nailed!
Either way, onward and upward...

What Bournemouth are doing is definitely a statement of intent. It's ambition as opposed to greed.
Are they supposed to have a new billionaire owner and think "oh hang, we're AFC Bournemouth aren't we... Let's just get players in for £40,000 like we're supposed to"?
If it goes all wrong then let that be another lesson to them.
Ritchie is from that neck of the woods and that concerns me. We won't let him go at this point unless he slaps in a transfer request. I honestly wouldn't write that off.

True re Caddis and Ritchie, but I'm sure PdC will figure something out. We have wingers in abundance, although some better than others.. Rooney, De Vita, Gabilondo, Esajas, Bodin. Though I'm not too fond of Gabilondo or Esajas to be honest. Could give a chance for De Vita on the opposite wing, or Bodin.

Boremuff daily echo sport page suggest that they will break their own transfer record with a million pound signing tomorrow.
So may be close to the truth.

From PDC's interview today the only likely outgoings are Kerrouche & Bodin. Gabilondo & Esajas simply aren't good enough to fill Ritchies boots.

Nnnggghhh... its good money, but the timing is now all wrong - no time to find a replacement that's good enough. We need to keep him until the summer minimum.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16798732.stmThere had been speculation that several Championship clubs had been interested in the duo, and the club turned down a bid from Bournemouth for Ritchie in December.
"They will be here, absolutely until the end of the season," he said. "If an intelligent club came in and offered £10m for Ritchie then maybe, because within 10 minutes we could then bring four Championship players in.
"They know they are fully committed to this club. They are happy and want to stay here because they know that they could win something. They could win the league and cancel out everything that happened last year. Price is going up

This is all be based on one tweet from the Bournemouth Echo, the figure seems to have plucked out of thin air. Bournemouth are interested in Ritchie, which we all knew anyway, I don't think Di Canio would let him go with such little time to get someone else in.

Well his latest interview does seem to suggest no one is leaving, bar the exception of Bodin.
