Not sure if its been mentioned but according to facebook: Sky Sports Sources: Swindon Town have made a 350K bid for Barnet in form striker Izale Mcleod

Rather a lot of money if true?

Too much money IMO for a player out of contract in 6 months time, probably just his agent tweeting about bids to up the ante on his selling price.

We need a centre back and a left back.

Only a prick like Lawrie Sanchez would value McLeod at £350,000. I think we need another decent central midfielder just incase Ferry or Smith pick up a knock.

Didn't think there would be any new faces this week, don't new players have to be registered 7 days before for the FA Cup?  And that's if they are not already cup-tied.  With the Barnet game on Tuesday I would say if any more are going to come in it will be next Thursday before we hear about it!

exactly, we are not in a panic to buy so can spend longer identifying the right players and negotiating the best deals

Also the revenue from a win this weekend...and maybe lucrative draw next round will have a bearing i should imagine..........also a resounding win at Barnet on Tuesday could see us have one foot at Wembley.....and lots more dosh,so makes sense to give it a week maybe.

Wes is following Rooney in twitter, so I am not sure why he would be followed unless they will both be coming to us.  Hmmmmm ......

Remember the Rudi Skacel rumour? Well, Crawley announced it to the world that they were interested in signing him on loan for the season.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16436658.stm

However, I quote:

"Crawley Town are likely to fail in their audacious bid to sign Hearts' Czech Republic winger, Rudi Skacel.

BBC Scotland understands that the 32-year-old has no intentions of dropping down from the Scottish Premier League to the League Two leaders.

...

Crawley's Scots manager, Steve Evans, told his club website he hoped to sign Skacel on loan until the summer.

But Skacel will be looking to either either extend his stay with Hearts or find a permanent move to another club."

£350k according to them for McLeod...also states on another thread they're expecting just under 3k for the JPT game...with at least 1300 coming from us!
