Agree, best window in ages - we’re not worse for the first time in 4 years? Maybe the prospect of another weekend of SO69 action twisted the various owners’ arms to not have his trademark January car crash.
More likely can't risk upsetting Ollie who will have other suitors if he carries on like this. Plus the (now extremely reduced) prospect of non league football can't be appealing if you ever want out

SO69 and reduced crowds could easily push it the other way - lucky the owner didn't decide to make some money back. The supporters need to come back and support Ollie and the team irrespective of the owners.

Do one. None of this is the fans fault.

My money is on him going at EOS. Especially if he steers us clear with a decent buffer. There will be plenty of lower league suites vying for his services. His wife’s health and a decent budget may change that but I’m still of the opinion he’ll be off.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps us up & retires.
Clearly not interested in travelling too far & I can’t imagine there hasn’t been better opportunities for him outside of his selected distance.
Think it was close to home. Team was in a poor position. He takes over & it’s still shit then he shrugs his shoulders & says he walked into an impossible job.
He gets us moving up the table & he can take credit & essentially wipe away Grimsby as being his last contribution in football + he got to pass 1000 games.
Keep him at the club in a DoF capacity under a new, younger manager could work. You’d get the new age ideas but the experienced head as well. Would either work really well or they’d hurt heads with each other all the time…

I have a feeling he will give it one more season, a last hurrah.

I think you need to look at the bigger picture. I pay to go and watch/support the team but I don’t want that lot running our club.

Ollie's unique personal circumstances that you've outlined give him a profile unlike any other manager and I agree with 99% of what you say but I would be surprised if he retired at the end of the season. I think he needs football like a drug, as do many football managers and he's made a number of references to next season in his interviews...and you can't fake that kind of enthusiasm. He may well fancy a DOF role but I wonder of that would be 'hands on' enough for him...

That's already happening to an extent - Bignot leads all the tactical and in-game management. Surely Holloway would be tempted to have a crack at the Playoffs next season and finish with a promotion. If the gang want to keep taking out 'admin expenses' then best way is to back Holloway this summer. We've already seen that no one else is capable of working under them.

None of what is the fans fault? Cheer up I'll cheer up considerably once the club is put up for sale. The crowds were down way before SO69 were even a thing. In fact, if anything they've probably gone up since. Here's an idea. Why didn't Mr Morfuni run STFC competently in the first place when we had 9-10k average crowds and everything was rosey? only he is to blame for the current state of affairs. For you to even claim that attendances may have had an effect on the January window is ludicrous. Have you ever heard of budgeting? you do it on a worse case scenario.

Bob The fan base will have the say at the end of the season. If the majority of season ticket holders renew they are obviously happy with what is currently happening at the club. The owner (s) will see this as a vote of confidence and will continue doing what they have done for many years. Obviously if the majority don't renew... that will be when the fun starts.

The team and the club are 2 different entities to me, unfortunately there is a link. Support the team by attending you are funding the club, don't go and the club will budget accordingly. Take a look at Morfuni's open letter to the fans in 2021, and then take a look at reality.
