A few months back Kokolo needed us more than we needed him (although it was bloody close)
He hasn’t played football for a long time. He’s probably accepted a very low wages to get back playing.

He’s shown he’s capable enough. He’s shown that he’s not rusty despite his time out.
Other clubs will be willing to take that punt now that they wouldn’t have previously.

Kokolo will have a rough idea of what the club can/will offer him as we’ll (probably) just try to extend his current contract on his current terms.

Club will have an inkling that he’s going to come back with bigger wages demands and a his agent has no doubt dropped hints other clubs are interested.

Club will play cheap ass chicken with him and see what happens.

There’s something in Kokolos past which might lead me to believe he’d be comfortable taking advantage of a situation for his own personal benefit

Look as i'm as angry about whats going on as the next person but there is some practicality to be thought of here.

We dont have the budget to carry bodies outside of a 22,hey we dont even have the budget for 22 at the moment!!!

So if we are stuck with Shade as a LWB and have Uwakwe as well (back soon?) then we have 2 bodies for that position. I would rather Kokolo as he is better than both, but practically there are bodies needed in other positions right?

I'd rather we moved Shade on, and signed Kokolo for longer.

Shade may well end up being Hutton’s replacement if he goes though.

There is no doubt that a lot of work needs to happen in the coming days and weeks. Like everyone else I hope we have a positive January window!
My other hope is that Clem comes out with a club update sooner rather than later.
I live in hope....!!

‘ 2 in, 3 out for us being suggested. I’d imagine the 3 will be loans but 2 currently injured so they’ll be late in Jan (O’Toole and Gale) also been told Boeteng to Swindon potentially. He’s got 18 month left so can only presume that’ll be a loan if it’s true.’

Possibly true, but an easy one to make up. They are the only players of any possible value that we have.

Players come and go. Just hope we are competitive come the end of the window.

Tbf, we’ve tanked this season with them playing almost every game.

If Khan was sold & the money used to buy Kemp & Boateng that would be ok.

However we know that the money would be used to offset the freeloaders Wink

Well, three of them are practically guaranteed anyway in Mahoney, Young and Kemp, so you’d like to think we’ve got replacements identified. As for Hutton and Khan, I think the former would be a massive miss for his attacking output, but Khan I can’t say I’m too fussed about. Brilliant on his day, but his day is maybe one game in four. Too error prone for my liking, but then when we’re this short on numbers, can we really afford to lose him?

There is not 1 player currently who I would be pissed off if we sold them in the transfer window. I discount Kemp and Young as they will blatantly go back to their parent clubs.

I have never felt that way before, we have always had a player or 3 that I would prefer not to sell, thats no longer the case for me.
