As long as it means FBT can stick at LB.
If we play with FBs Not sure I could see FBT playing LWB. Think he works as CB but only in a 3. Raglan sound like the type of player we need. Shame about the list of previous clubs.

Played well at LWB last season before being shoehorned in as an emergency CB - albeit a decent one.

Last season we gave Jack Payne until 18th July to get an answer, the same day he signed for Charlton.
Which was a bit of a dickish thing to do and I hope they have learnt their lesson, plus Payne was a key player, Brewitt ain't!

LB, not LWB. A subtle difference these days. I think he is a good LB but i wouldn't have him at LWB.

The Adver journo seems to be suggesting something could happen soon (tm).
JL: Always, Jockster. I've regularly been in contact with various people at the club, but they're understandably cagey. I'd hope to see some movement either tomorrow or early next week, though.

JL is clearly Swindon's answer to Woodward and Bernstein with intrepid investigative work like this.

I think he is worth giving a go at LWB, he has the ability to bomb down the wing and get crosses into the box, something he did quite well early on at LB. We do have Shade who Flynn utilised quite well at LWB at Walsall for 3 months.

Maybe ref Shade. My feeling based on last season is he is a typical league 2 squad player that will jump around clubs. Everyone looks at him and sees hes a good size, has pace, can beat a man and thinks if they can just teach him the rest he will be a real talent. Chances are like others before him, he will never learn the rest sadly. But we live in hope.

FBT appears to be fairly competent across most positions at the back. He's probably the best headerer of the ball as well so i'd be happy with him at CB. He also has the ability to bring the ball out of defence, if Flynn sets up in such a way that allows him to be a bit of a 'libero'. We don't yet know how Flynn wants us to setup and play but you would imagine FBT would be a pretty important cog in that side. pre-season games will be more fascinating than before.
