That was Jonny Smith. Stevens was the god awful one from Leeds.

Signing a player from Barrow apparently?
As they only seem to have 2 strikers on their books and one only signed last month I suspect its not going to be the striker we all desire.

Oh christ on an e-scooter, you are right. Stevens was great on his debut (he scored didn't he?) and then flattered to deceive after that.

From the local rag Stevens seems to have done OKish at Barrow and scored in a preseasoner the other night, Josh Kay another midfielder seems to be knocking 'em in in pre season.

On paper certainly seems like the type of player we need (well needed 12 months ago)
Squad starting to look alright (although a lot of unknowns) as has been mentioned, looks like the core of the squad are our players supplemented with loan - rather than is being too reliant on them (another thing that didn’t help last season)

Very strong midfield for league 2 now, even without Jack PYne.

Who was the last box to box player we had who could do a bit of everything and chip in with goals?

Would he be seen as Payne’s replacement?
First time in a long time I’ve been excited about recruitment.

According to FM22 (Yes I know this is clutching at straws a bit) He can play central midfield and #10, shoots from distance a lot, arrives late in the box and plays his way out of trouble.
So Yaya Toure, then...
