I’m intrigued by our Plan B if Simpson is absent for whatever reason….a false 9 our only option really? The Forward! brigade will love that.
In the circumstances, a thoroughly decent transfer window (a striker would really have capped things off).
Stay close to the pack entering January and who knows what will happen, especially if the embargo is lifted.

I can’t see that he was the player they were watching as he was described as a player who’d played abroad. Whoever it was it didn’t happen.
I don’t doubt that, as you say things change with regard hopeful targets I’m just glad this isn’t a knee jerk signing of someone they hardly know just for the sake of it, more evidence of good planning and a cohesive strategy |

Because the article says that it concludes our business. Which may of course prove not to be the case. Even if he’s a star in the making, it’s a first loan, so inevitably a bit of a gamble. Expect we’ll see a freebie striker sometime soon. Can’t expect Simpson to play twice a week - and a false 9 set up has to be a back up plan only…
