Had a look at the GasChat forum and one weirdo said Garner was doing again what he did wrong at Rovers - signing players with no L2 experience.
He’s right, of course. Most have L1 experience. That’s how Wellens got us promoted - sign players better than L2 and hope their injury histories don’t bite us on the arse.
Garner seems to be doing the same but without the dodgy injuries.

But Bristol Rovers were L1 when Garner managed them? Why do they need L2 experience? |

Presume he meant when they were in L1 he didn’t get players in with L1 experience. I thought the problem there was that he wasn’t wholly in charge of recruitment. Widdrington foisted players on him. |

See Luton when they got promoted for L2 and bossed the league that season. |
