The one thing we were missing with Easton out on Friday night was a bit of bite in central midfield, Maher would certainly let Timlin or Easton get forward a bit more.

Patrick Vieira would be good.

Magners Viera is more our style.

Maher isn't the answer - we need a Kevin Horlock (he played at left-back too!) just not actually Kevin Horlock.

LOrd I'm bored so a couple of randoms to consider and encourage a bit of debate...

Michael Flynn (26 CM or RM) - Released from Blackpoo and arrousing Franchise interest at the moment.  Managed quite a few goals from midfield in League One for Gilliscum a couple of seasons back before rejecting a new offer of a contract and joining the tangarines.  Been unlucky with injuries last season and was been released following their promotion.

Ronnie Wallwork (30 CM) - Availible on a free from the Windies.  Proven class at Championship level and a bit of experience to boot.  I remember reading an interview with him following his recovery from the stabbing in 2006 and he's definately got his head screwed on.

Ben Parsonage (18 RM) - Young Liverpool winger who would be worth a trial.  Only going on heresay from a couple of Liverpool die hards but he is supposed to have a cracking cross and a fair bit of pace.

Feel free to rip to shreds  Smiley

I just had a quick search of the freebie list at the PFA and saw a few interesting players, wether or not they would consider coming to us is not known but these players I have either heard of or seen playing against us or are youngsters at premier league clubs with international honours at various levels and all are in the 4 positions we are looking for player in....

Adrian Pettigrew - Chelsea CM (Eng U17)
Chris Fagan - Man Utd CM/FW (Irish U21)
Michael Flynn - Blackpool CM/MR (as mentioned above)
Ryan Harpur - Everton CM/DR (Irish U21)
Stephen Connor - Everton RM (Eng U17)
Stephen Morrison - Everton RM (Eng U16)
Aaron Fray - Crystal Palace DL
Conor Kavanagh - Blackburn DL (Irish U17)
Cory Gibbs - Charlton DL (USA International)
Paul Tierney - Blackpool DL (Irish U21)
Phil Marsh - Man Utd FW/RW

I dont know if any of them have clubs already but maybe worth a punt, who knows.

The Wendies are in the habit of paying sky-high wages to any half fit former Prem player prepared to warm their physio's couch for a few months, so I doubt we could get anything near Wallworks salary requirements.

What about Robbie Savage at Derby, he's not gonna get a look in and would certainly be the hard man in midfield....he may be willing to drop down to L1 and tkae a L1 salary  Cheesy

Although he is injury prone and red card prone
